Climate Change Science and Applications
  • High Resolution Climate Change Simulation over South Asia

The high resolution experiments were used for attribution of recent decadal changes in monsoon precipitation over India due to natural and anthropogenic forcing

  • Regional Climate Information for Application Studies - CORDEX South Asia

The ensemble of high resolution regional climate change projections until 2100 at 50 km spatial resolution over South Asian region generated at CCCR, IITM by dynamical downscaling of six CMIP5 global climate model outputs using the ICTP regional climate model (RegCM4) are disseminated to assist the science community in conducting studies of climate change impacts at regional scales.

  • Studies on Indian Monsoon Variability and Predictability

Different aspects of monsoon variability, tele-connection mechanisms, climate drivers (ENSO, Modoki, IOD, Ningaloo, etc), long-term trends, dynamics of precipitation extremes, etc. were investigated
